This large solid oak wardrobe combines the understated elegance of the Directoire style with the bourgeois comfort of the 19th century. Sanded and lightened, it reveals a wood with an expressive, luminous grain that fits well in both contemporary interiors and characterful homes. A true storage piece: two doors and an interior layout designed to last. Materials: solid oak, with golden blonde tones. Original brass hardware: lock entries on both doors (keyed closure), key. Turned solid oak bun feet. Features: the wardrobe opens with two large double-panelled doors framed with moulding. The straight cornice with protruding moulding gives the whole a classic architectural line without heaviness. The interior is fitted with three height-adjustable shelves thanks to a bracket system. The wardrobe locks with a key. Renovation: this wardrobe has been gently sanded to remove its brown, shiny wax and left in raw wood. It has also received treatment against wood-boring insects.
