Italian ceramic glossy aubergine bowl – 1960s

Superb Italian ceramic eggplant-shaped bowl with a deep purple and emerald green glaze of dazzling brilliance. A joyful and sculptural piece, typical of Italian productions of the 1960s, where fantasy and color were a feature of both tabletop and decor. Its thick, mirrored glaze captures the light wonderfully, evoking the delicacies of Mediterranean markets and the expressive design of the mid-20th century. Entirely hand-modeled and hand-painted, it bears the handwritten inscription Italy and the model number 1152 under the base. Length 30 cm, width 10 cm, height 5 cm. Beautiful vintage condition. Some micro-irregularities in the original glaze. A pop of vintage style for a designer kitchen or a kitsch chic style.
