Bucolic landscape

Oil on canvas signed Yvonne Blanchon. Certainly dating from the 1930s. Student of Mlle Bougleux and Mr Delattre. Member of the French Artists Association, she took part in the Salons from 1926 to 1939 almost every year. She also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1936 to 1939, and at the Salon d'Automne in 1935 and 1936. She became known as a painter of landscapes, still lifes and flowers. This painting is framed in an American box.
