WMF Art Nouveau brass vase

This beautiful vase was made by wmf in their typical art nouveau style. What makes this classically shaped vase so special is the neck that has been perforated with detailed acanthus scrolls and bordered by tiny friezes. This is accompanied by two double handles that extrude upwards giving an amphora appearance. The vase is made of shiny brass although it probably began life being silver. The hallmarks show the wmf ostrich mark used from 1910. The württembergische metallwarenfabrik (wmf) factory was founded in germany at the end of the 19th century and was renowned for its high quality silver metal products in the art nouveau style. Their pieces are sought after. State: Good. The neck is not 100% round but 95% round! (see photo). There are duller areas on the brass and two small bumps that I tried to photograph. Size: See photo.
