This is a truly spectacular and monumental vintage wood birdcage on stand based on a grand design after the splendid Sacre Coeur church in Montmartre, Paris, dating from the mid-20th century. This striking birdcage has a features amazing hand carved decoration as well as strong architectural attributes throughout. It has a spectacular tall central dome with four arches and extraordinarily carved details in the classically inspired Roman-Byzantine style and features four identical sides with adorable doors. The equally handsome square-shaped stand incorporates an attractive molded frieze above four elegant and strong carved circular legs.
