LCM chair by Vitra by Charles and Ray Eames. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945, the LCM chair is made of layers of curved and varnished wood using a technique developed by the Eames couple in the late 1940s. During many years of testing, Charles and Ray Eames were looking for new techniques to best adapt three-dimensionally molded glued laminated wood to the silhouette of the human body. The result of this work is the Plywood Group, whose seat, backrest and base are made of molded glued laminated wood. The organic lines and the comfortable warmth given off by the wood invite you to adopt a relaxed position. Comfortable and stylish, this chair adapts to different rooms. Its base in chromed steel tube gives it a lighter look and an exceptional note due to the contrast of two materials. Materials: backrest and seat element in molded laminated wood, chrome-plated base, seat and backrest of the seats connected to the base by rubber and metal elements (shock mounts), glued laminated wood in ash Colors: natural ash Dimensions H 65 x W 56 x D 63.5 cm (seat H 31.5 cm)
