Vintage Italian raised plate in hand-painted ceramic, mid-20th century. Its small size enhances presentations. This piece is an "alzatina, " or raised plate, a classic element of Italian tableware, designed to showcase fruits and sweets during celebrations. Its rustic Mediterranean style is distinguished by a warm colour palette (ochre yellows, olive greens, and blues) on a cream white background. The decoration is entirely hand-painted, with visible brush strokes ensuring the uniqueness of each piece; none are identical. The decor typically features central floral or fruity motifs, framed by scalloped or geometric borders reminiscent of the ceramic production regions of Faenza, Deruta, or the Amalfi Coast. Period: Vintage (estimated between 1960 and 1980). In good condition, with no cracks or chips. Dimensions: 15 X 4.5 cm. As these items are vintage, they may show signs of wear.
