The moment we saw this Napoleon III brass mirror that dates from the 19th century, it was love at first sight. Mostly because of the incredible repoussé, which is a skilled metalworking technique where the metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create intricate designs. With a double border, floral design and lots of characterful foxing, this is one of the most stunning mirrors we have ever come across. She's not bad for over a hundred years old... Good vintage condition. Some foxing and wear and tear consistent with age and vintage.
