Afghan rug from Maimana – 20th century

Kilim from Afghanistan, originating from Maimana, the capital of Faryab province in northern Afghanistan. Entirely handwoven from natural wool, this kilim is distinguished by its rhythmic geometric patterns and the harmony of its shades of blue and grey, achieved through traditional plant dyes. Thanks to its traditional manufacturing technique, this kilim is fully reversible and can be used interchangeably on both sides. Dimensions: 2m01 - 1m54.
