Bistro table – Art Nouveau style – Cast iron and veined marble – Period 1900

Art Nouveau bistro table, Belle Époque period, circa 1890-1910, with an oval veined marble top and a lacquered cast iron base. The oval top features a complex veined marble combining grey, purple, and greenish tones, with a polished surface. The cast iron base consists of an X-shaped structure with double-curved uprights, connected by an ornate central stretcher. The feet end in volutes and hooves characteristic of the Art Nouveau style, adorned with stylised foliage. The entire cast iron structure shows visible wear: areas of oxidation and flaking of the original white paint. Cleaning and repainting should be considered depending on use.
