This magnificent ceramic vase, made of glazed "terra mêlée, " is also very impressive for its size and shape. It's more of a sculpture than a vase, after all. It won't go unnoticed from afar or up close. Up close, it looks like swirls of smoke, marbling, in shades of pink, pale green, white, and black blending together. It is glazed, smooth to the touch. I can't make out a signature, perhaps faded, but the colors of the clays used in this vase are reminiscent of Pichon ceramics in Uzès at the end of the 19th century (originally, there were only white, pink, and black; green appeared towards the end of the 19th century). Perhaps the beginning of a lead for further investigation. It will fit into any interior, whether cozy or natural, or as a minimalist addition to a ceramic collection. It is in good overall condition, no cracks, just a small lack in the thickness on the outer edge under the opening, which can be felt to the touch but is almost invisible to the eye. It measures 42 cm in height, 6 cm in diameter at the base, 4 cm in diameter at the opening.
