The metal clasp that is believed to be the original lock is still intact. We would like to highlight its “dovetail” assembly characteristic of the past when the use of glue was practically non-existent. The design of the furniture was based on a perfect fit of the different pieces of wood together. And the “dovetail” assembly was one of the star assemblies in the art of carpentry. We love its patina of nuanced greens and we can distinguish 2 letters traced in white on the front of the chest.
