This large, bright format immediately captures the eye thanks to its vivid yellow background worked in thick layers (effects of material and textured relief) that beautifully highlight the geometric and fluid lines of the figure. A very fine example of Mid-Century art, halfway between late cubism and cloisonnism. Artist: Signed "Thallon" in the bottom left. Period: Circa 1950-1970 (authenticated by the stamp of the famous American artist frame manufacturer Anco Bilt, Glendale N.Y. Visible on the back).
