Collector's vase, made of ceramic, an authentic piece signed by the ceramist Jean Austruy (signature visible under the base). This vase stands out for its captivating colour: an iridescent glaze with metallic bronze and gold reflections, featuring a bright yellow interior that creates a striking and luminous contrast. Its original design, adorned with sculptural handles on each side, earns it the poetic name of "ear vase, " an emblematic shape of the artist. Its unique silhouette makes it a true collector's item or a refined decorative object. This vase is in good overall condition, despite some signs of age that testify to its history: a small chip is present on the foot (visible in the photos). A discreet old repair has been made at the base/foot (also visible in the photos). Austruy Jean (1910-2012) Alongside Suzanne Ramié (Madoura) and Robert Picault, Jean Austruy is part of that post-war generation of ceramists who reinterpreted traditional popular pottery, thus contributing to the revival of the arts of earth and fire. He managed to adapt the style of his creations to endure for six decades. Jean Austruy was a member of the chamber of trade of ceramists (now the Foundation of Arts Workshops) and exhibited at the Paris Arts Workshops fair. He was present at the autumn fair of 1953 alongside Georges Jouve, Jacques Blin, Fernand Lacaf, Peter Orlando, and Pol Chambost.
