Wooden cat and dog stack toys

Lovely old toys that consist of rings to stack on a rod to form a cat and a dog. The pieces are made of lacquered wood of bright colors. These are very decorative objects, as much in a child's room as on the shelf or in the window of the living room! These toys are over 50 years old and they are superbly well preserved for their age, to the point that it would almost be a shame to play with them! They are rather rare, even more so in this state. They still present traces of time and the use that has been made of them: splinters on the colored lacquer, but relatively inconspicuous when the animals are "mounted" because the gaps are mainly at the edges of the rooms, some small spots and the lacquer on the rings at the top, probably of an off-white originally, yellowed. They measure 25 cm in height for the cat and 23.5 cm for the dog, and 6.5 cm in maximum diameter. The cat weighs about 240g, the dog about 280g.
