Oil painting on embedded canvas signed by jean gleyse (1915-1991), cubist school of céret (66). The work presented here is dated 59 (for 1959) and is part of this post-cubist vein, direct follower of the great masters of cubism still strongly inspired by african art. The composition is rigorous and the condition of the work impeccable, particularly strong and decorative. Sold with frame (the latter is just offered with the work - fragility and trace of wear, it will be, I think to change). Chassis dimension: 38 / 55 cm.
