This German ceramic plant pot was made by Scheurich Keramik in the 1960s. In the tones of brown and red, it is the perfect item for a mid-century modern apartment. The pot is marked at the bottom 887-19 W-Germany. In excellent vintage condition, without chips or cracks. Height 19 cm; diameter 20,5 cm. The firm Scheurich Keramik started production in Kleinheubach, West Germany in 1954. The company became one of the largest manufacturers of ceramics in Germany from the 1950s to the 1980s. They exported more than any other ceramic company in Germany. Some lines were specifically produced for foreign markets, such as the ‘Europline’. Under the creative direction of designer Heinz Siery, the firm offered the widest range of shapes and glazes, creating iconic pieces and highly collectable. The company continue to this day.
