Old Yellow & Brown Glass Paste Vase Signed Emile Gallé

Superb little baluster-shaped vase in multi-layer glass in yellow and brown tones. This model with its rich rotating acid-etched floral decoration bears the galle signature in relief. Born in nancy in 1846, émile galllé was a french industrialist, master glassmaker, cabinetmaker and ceramist. He founded the school of nancy in 1901 and remains one of the most significant figures of his time as well as one of the pioneers of art nouveau. In good condition despite its great age: no chips or cracks. H 13.3 X d 9 cm.
