Here is a set of 4 large stoneware mugs with a charming enamel in soft, natural tones: pinkish beige, light caramel with white "drips". Their aesthetic is quite raw and this is on purpose: tool marks, small reliefs, enamel of different thicknesses and therefore more or less smooth or rough feel, very slight differences in the shaping. All this testifies to a beautiful artisanal work of turning and enameling, which closely resembles the work of Pierre Lion who produced, in addition to more artistic pieces, utilitarian tableware with this deliberately rustic aspect, highlighting "the handmade" until 1978 when his workshop closed. These mugs probably date from the 50s to 70s when these natural colors and this brutalist aspect were very fashionable. They are in good condition, no cracks or chips, all the "marks" mentioned above are original. They measure 12.5 cm in height, approximately 12.5 cm in width including the handle, approximately 8 cm in diameter. I also offer in my online store here, a set of two mugs identical to these, so it is possible to buy 6 in total.
