A very beautiful vase known as 'Soliflores', designed by Gio Ponti for Arthur Krupp Milano in the 1930s. The shape is simple and slender, yet very elegant. The sought-after patina makes this vase even more interesting. Truly a magnificent vase, a real gem for your interior. Signed 'Arthur Krupp Milano' at the base. Depending on the version of the Krupp logo used, this vase was made between 1938 and 1945. In good condition with a lovely patina. Small dent on the upper rim, not bothersome. Gio Ponti (1891-1979) is considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. He designed buildings, furniture, lighting, ceramics, silverware, and more. He also founded the famous and influential magazine 'Domus' on architecture, furniture, and design.
