Jam cupboard, popular Savoyard art, 1950s.

Vintage storage unit in pitch pine from the 1950s. This large and wide piece, with a confiturier style, is derived from Savoyard folk art. We love its handcrafted design, generous size, two drawers, and double doors, each adorned with shell-shaped handles carved from wood. The drawer fronts, doors, and panelled sides of the unit are decorated with typically Savoyard motifs carved in relief. These details give it a certain authenticity and incredible charm. The patina is original, relatively dark, while still maintaining a beautiful brightness. Possible defects in the wood due to its great age.
