Painted wooden chest

The small chest is in good condition, no breakage, no missing parts. It is made of 1 cm thick white wooden boards assembled. The boards have simply been nailed. The wood is very dry, and does not show any traces of wood-eating insects, or other damage such as mold, for example. The small chest opens and closes using two hinges that are in good condition. It can be closed using two small hooks that fit into small round pegs. It also has a folding tin handle, which allows it to be easily removed when stored, for example on a shelf. The small chest has retained its original color, a beautiful dark red, which has acquired a patina over time, which gives it a crazy charm. It has been waxed on the outside with natural beeswax, in order to fix this pretty patina, and for maintenance, it will suffice to rub it from time to time with a soft cloth. The inside of the small chest has been left raw, the wood having some roughness. Be careful, you have to consult the dimensions, to realize the scale, it is a small mini-chest. Beautiful object of folk art, ingenious work of some skilled handyman, unique piece, dating from the first half of the 20th century.
