Ladderax modular bookcase and shelving by english designer robert heal, 1960s. Both stylish and functional, the modular shelving system was designed by robert heal in the mid-20th century for british furniture makers staples of cricklewood in london. The desired design consists of three bays of modular shelves that can be installed in different configurations. The installation includes 2 storage boxes with sliding wooden panels, 1 secretary/extra desk box, a storage box with 2 sliding glass panels. 6 wooden shelves painted gray, 3 wooden shelves as well as the glass shelves inside the boxes. Each module is positioned at the height you want, you can reconfigure your layout and personalize it as you wish. Each box is mounted on golden bars (see photos) which attach to the "ladders". This is an iconic and wonderfully designed piece of mid-century british furniture, no longer in production. Good general condition, normal wear consistent with age and use. Note the only altered element is the bottom tray of the secretary's work surface. Before shipping, all items are thoroughly cleaned and coated with a fresh coat of teak oil to ensure your item is in tip-top shape upon delivery.
