Set of 4 flat plates by Longchamp (Côte-d'Or), 1930s-50s. These plates feature a stylised floral design inspired by the famous pottery of Quimper: a vegetal frieze rhythmically adorned with red and blue flowers, green foliage, and deep blue, accented with small touches of yellow. The whole is framed by an elegant deep blue line that highlights the basin of the plate. The decoration, painted in a reinterpreted traditional spirit, evokes the regional Breton tableware while maintaining the graphic signature of Longchamp productions: simple shapes, clear designs, and bold colours. Stamped Longchamp. In good vintage condition, with a patina of time, especially on the edges, showing a slight network of enamel crazing, minor signs of use consistent with age, and a tiny hairline crack on one plate (see photos). Diameter 22cm. Stylised floral decoration in the spirit of bistro tables and traditional French kitchens.
