Large antique carved wooden mirror – Louis XV style – 140 x 90 cm

Superb large mirror in finely carved solid fruitwood, with authentic and timeless charm. Its delicate floral decoration, featuring an openwork pediment and motifs of flowers and foliage, is in an elegant Louis XV style. The mirror is bevelled. The frame has been completely stripped, revealing a beautiful natural patina of the wood, giving it a warm and contemporary appearance. It fits well in both a classic interior and a more modern contrasting decor. It is in very good overall condition. The structure is sound and solid, the carvings are well preserved, and the mirror shows slight signs of age that contribute to its charm. Originally intended to be placed on the floor or on a piece of furniture, it can also be mounted on the wall after adding a fixing system (weight 23kg).
