A large sophisticated Beni Ouarain rug that brings a decidedly contemporary aesthetic to traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Handwoven from natural sheep wool, this unique piece features an architectural composition of irregular black linear shapes on a warm ivory background. The geometric pattern resembles an abstract architectural plan, with horizontal and vertical lines intersecting to create different sections on the rug. The contrast between the soft, tactile wool and the minimalist graphic design gives the piece a refined and modern character while preserving the undeniable soul of an authentic handmade Moroccan rug. Each rug is handwoven by Amazigh (Berber) artisans in a Moroccan cooperative, made from 100% natural sheep wool, woven on a traditional Berber loom, knotted and finished individually by hand. Colour palette: natural warm ivory, shades of cream wool and off-white, charcoal black details.
