Lift-and-lower table designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Nova and Lauzières residences in Les Arcs 1800, in the French Alps, circa 1973. The square top is made of solid laminated pine, resting on a cruciform black lacquered metal base. Thanks to a jack system, the height can be adjusted from 53 cm to 75 cm, allowing for flexible use as both a coffee table and a dining table. This piece of furniture illustrates Charlotte Perriand's approach in Les Arcs: to offer functional, robust design adapted to mountain life. Bibliography: Jacques Barsac, Charlotte Perriand, The Complete Works, vol. 4: 1968-1999, Éditions Norma, p. 268. Ref. 7404.
