star bonbonnière Sarreguemines U&C – Louis XV model – ribbon trompe-l'œil

Very pretty and original antique sweet jar in faience from Sarreguemines, manufactured by U&C (Utzschneider & Cie), with a Louis XV decoration. Beautiful star shape with an astonishing trompe-l'œil lid resembling a gift package, adorned with a pink ribbon and a raised bow. Particularly charming polychrome floral decoration. Dimensions: Approximately 21 cm in width. 13 cm in height with the lid. Mark "LOUIS XV – U&C – SARREGUEMINES" under the base. An antique piece showing a patina and crazing of the faience, as well as a few small chips/nicks on the edges, visible in the photographs. The raised bow is intact. The condition should therefore be assessed considering its age. A rare decorative piece, ideal for a collector of Sarreguemines, antique faience, or charming objects.
