Very old pewter tastevin cup with snakes as handles, produced by the master potter etienne sergent, active in avallon in the mid-18th century. In excellent condition, it is engraved in its center with a motto “i watch for the nation” and a rooster on a straw cart. The engraving is in magnificent condition. On the back, we find the hallmarks of the master potter with his initials, the date 1769, the pewter hallmark with the rose guaranteeing 95% tin, and the tin hallmark in an ellipse.
