Description
Fun pitcher/glass in Babbitt. The Babbitt has been used during the first world war as a replacement for copper for the production of decorative objects, copper being at that time used for the manufacture of ammunition. The Babbitt has been used from the second half of the nineteenth century, and even a little before, relatively cheap. It allows to carry out ornamental sculptures and decorations of clocks in replacement of the bronze. It was a kind of "bronze of the poor".
