Twisted brass candlestick "Barley Twist" Mid-Century modern, 1950-1970

Super vintage brass candlestick in Mid-Century modern style, probably made in England, circa 1950-1970. The base features four twisted strands forming a helical column, topped with a dish equipped with a point designed to hold a large cylindrical candle. Its clean and sculptural design evokes the British creations known as "Barley Twist". 23.5cm in height and 8cm in diameter for the dish. Overall in good condition, with some signs of use, slight scratches, a few small spots of oxidation, and slightly tarnished brass, mainly on the dish and the base. Weighs approximately 700g.
