This characterful piece stands out for the richness of its artisanal work; the wood, probably solid mango or Sheesham rosewood, has a superb dark and deep patina, revealing its authenticity and history. The elephant's head is entirely hand-carved with numerous details; the ears, trunk, tusks, and upper shelf are adorned with hammered, cut, and engraved brass plates, secured with small original brass nails. The shelf is also decorated with an elegant central rosette in chased brass. Both decorative and functional, this wall console brings a strong and refined presence to an interior.
