1930s d3 Bauhaus chair by Paul Schuitema after Mart Stam. Marked with d3!

Rare chair made by the Rotterdam firm "d3" between 1933 and 1935. Designed by Paul Schuitema (attr, ) after the famous model by his compatriot Mart Stam. This chair is marked underneath with "d3"; marked d3 furniture is extremely rare. See the book on "d3" and Paul Schuitema "Volmaakt Verchroomd" and "2100 Metal Tubular Chairs" by Otakar Macel. The chrome of this chair is excellent. Three bolts of the seat missing. Re-upholstered long ago with the original fabric still underneath the backrest. Light beige upholstery is in a fair useable condition. Seat height is 45 CM.
