Each sconce features a beautifully flared, sculptural shade in thick clear Murano glass worked in the bullicante technique — a refined Venetian method creating controlled air bubbles suspended within the glass mass. The vertical ribbing combined with the evenly distributed bubbles produces a vibrant optical texture, enhancing the diffusion of light and creating a warm, atmospheric glow when illuminated. The organic, slightly scalloped upper rim and the fluid silhouette evoke floral forms, a recurring theme in Seguso production during the mid-20th century. The glass elements rest on solid brass wall mounts with a rich natural patina, whose restrained geometry balances the expressive quality of the blown glass. The model and glass execution are consistent with documented production from Seguso Vetri d’Arte during the period in which Archimede Seguso played a leading artistic role within the historic Murano furnace. The sconces have been professionally updated with new lamp holders and new internal wiring to comply with modern electrical standards, ensuring safe installation and daily use. The brass retains its original finish and desirable age patina. A refined and luminous pair, ideal for entryways, bedrooms, or sophisticated mid-century and contemporary interiors. Conditions: Very good vintage condition. Glass free of cracks or chips. Brass with age-appropriate patina. Lamp holders and wiring have been replaced for conformity with modern standards. Dimensions: H: 20 cm W: 20 cm D: 15 cm.
