Set of 4 Leggera chairs by Gio Ponti

Gio Ponti's 4 chair leggera set. An old edition similar to the chair on display at MoMA in New York, dated 1951 and visible on their website. The chairs are stable and solid, with only superficial wear defects. Cellophane straw seats (such as MoMA) are original and have gaps that merit restoration, but the foundations are still strong enough to be used as if desired. These chairs clearly show their age and are very moving. It is unusual to encounter such icons of design who have kept their experiences without having been more or less well refurbished. Chairs do not have a manufacturer-indicating label.
