Antique mahogany georgian writing table. The table has beautiful weathered brown leather. This is a cowhide leather top. Sheep leather is often used. The advantage of cowhide leather is that it is much stronger and therefore lasts much longer. This gives it the chance of a beautiful patina. Another beautiful detail of a georgian writing table is the cross banded mahogany edge around the leather. This just gives that extra look. In original used condition. Origin: england. Period: approx. 1830. Size: 122cm X 87cm X h. 75cm (legroom 59cm).
