1960s Scandinavian suspension from Denmark

A striking Scandinavian pendant from the 1960s, combining a cylindrical diffuser in frosted glass with a sculptural metal shade. The outer shade is formed from a series of cut vertical metal fins, finished in black with a contrasting red interior. The openings create a graphic play of light around the frosted glass cylinder, while the understated geometry gives the lamp a distinctly architectural character. The original designer and manufacturer have not yet been identified. The construction and materials are consistent with Scandinavian lighting of the era. Scandinavia, circa 1960s.
