Ashtray or shell-shaped trinket tray in gilded zamak – EP Zinc, Italy, 1960s

A small, elegant Italian sculptural object, perfectly blending function and decoration. This charming antique tripod ashtray with two notches, which can also be used as a trinket tray, features a design inspired by a scallop shell. Made in Italy by EP Zinc (as evidenced by the stamp on the reverse), this piece reflects the Italian taste of the 1960s for organic and decorative forms, combined with excellent craftsmanship. Made of gilded zamak, it has a finely ribbed surface that beautifully catches the light. The piece is in very good condition, with only minor and very slight signs of age, and no significant damage or defects. Weight: 0.180 kg.
