Authentic Parisian wardrobe from the 1940s. Cleaned up

Very elegant, this small Parisian wardrobe from the 1940s has been cleaned up. It opens with two large panelled doors. The left door secures to the top shelf with a hook, while the right door, with its solid wood strip, locks. The lock, key, and very aesthetic keyhole are original and fully functional. Inside, there are two shelves, with the top fixed shelf having been fitted with a metal hanging rail. It is practical and vintage but can be easily removed if necessary. The lower shelf, more recent, has two possible positions - both have the edge painted in the same grey as the background and back of the wardrobe, creating a cohesive look. With its slightly rounded pediment, beautiful slightly tapered legs, and overall stature, this wardrobe has a lovely presence. However, it is a popular piece from its time, like all wardrobes of its style, and it has minor imperfections inherent to its age and status. There are some signs of wear here and there, one or two reinforcing nails, as well as an invisible support batten under the base, which ensures the stability of the piece. But it remains in very good condition, usable as is from the moment of purchase. These wardrobes have the advantage of being both practical, space-saving, and very pretty. H: 179 cm. W: 80 cm.
