Art Deco octagonal vase in flamed stoneware – signed Alpho (Alphonse Mouton)

Superb Art Deco vase (1930s) with two handles in flamed stoneware. An authentic piece made by the famous ceramist Alphonse Mouton (1900-1980) in Saint-Vallier (Drôme). Features: Geometric octagonal shape with cut corners (model no. 213 stamped under the base) with a bas-relief frieze on the body. Unique glazing: Beautiful shades of reactive cobalt blue, brown, and beige, typical of the flamed enamel technique from the interwar period. Exceptional condition: Very good condition. No cracks, no chips, no wear on the edges or handles.
