This object is a vintage piezoelectric table lighter from the Japanese brand Maruman, model "T26 Sharon", manufactured in Japan in the early 1970s. With its aerodynamic capsule shape mounted on a pedestal, it is an iconic piece of Space Age / Pop Art design from that era.
