Handmade stoneware candle holder – Terracotta and ash green

Turned stoneware candlestick. Large flared bowl with an elevated candle holder. Contrast of materials and colors. The natural clay, with warm shades of reddish-brown, meets a glossy gray-green glaze, subtly speckled, whose variations evoke traditional ash-effect glazes. Turning marks, irregular nuances of the glaze. Its appearance and manufacturing techniques evoke the traditional pottery of Puisaye, a region renowned for its stoneware. However, this origin remains a stylistic attribution, as the candlestick bears no signature. Diameter 17 cm, height 6 cm, inner diameter of the candle holder 2 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, with irregularities in the glazing, and the presence of a very fine external hairline crack, non-penetrating, likely related to drying or firing (see photos). A unique silhouette, mineral shades, and all the authenticity of handcrafted pottery.
