Period: ca. 1930. A pretty art deco period coffee maker that has the added benefit of keeping your coffee hot thanks to its insulating properties. The coffee maker has a chrome metal (or nickel) outer shell with a hammered effect and a hinged lid. This shell is equipped with an insulating felt inside. The porcelain pot can be removed for cleaning purposes; its porcelain lid is attached to the metal one. The handle is wavy for easy grip and here we can see the influence of the bauhaus design principle of combining aesthetics with functionality. The rub and three bakelite feet are off-white in color. The porcelain pot is marked with the sus logo (schulte-ufer & söhne) and indicates that the volume is 1.4 liters. The metal shell is marked with thermisol, the name of the model, and 'bauscher-lizen' (which means that the model is licensed to the bauscher company). State: Very good. The porcelain pot is in excellent condition without damage; it seems to be barely used. The metal shell has micro scratches of use and a small bump on the lid (so small that I couldn't photograph it). The chromium/nickel layer is always very good and shiny. The bakelite rubella is aged. Dimensions: see photo.
