A wonderfully elegant and rare piece with a beautifully aged dark wood top resting on finely turned legs with original porcelain casters. The extremely long and narrow proportions give this table a striking architectural presence. Originally used as a serving table, side table in a refectory, or display table in a large country house, manor, or shop interior. The solid wood top shows beautiful signs of wear and a patina from generations of use, with a dark surface rich in character. The turned legs retain the porcelain wheels, adding refinement and making the table surprisingly easy to move despite its impressive size.
