Set of five faux bone handled knives made in England from Sheffield steel. This was likely originally a set of six knives, but one has been lost over time. Four of the five knives have retained their original wax blade guards. These knives are the perfect size for your dessert plates or for cheese. In good vintage condition, the knives are still sharp and show very little signs of use. They have the usual superficial scratches found on all vintage metal cutlery, as well as a few scratches on the handles. There are no signs of rust. The box is original but in poor condition, somewhat damaged and torn in places, yet it keeps the knives safely in one place. Each knife measures 20.5 cm in length, with the blade (from tip to handle) measuring just over 12 cm. The box and knives weigh a total of 200 g without packaging. A charming and practical set of knives for everyday use.
