Gien Planter

Splendid jardinière, faience de gien, round in shape, resting on a circular base decorated with acanthus leaf motifs. Two handles in twisted snakes. Decorated with traditional allegorical motifs hand-painted (lambrequins and grotesque figures). Elegant piece in faience with rich colours painted in a classic palette of blue, green, white and yellow. Stamped under the base. Very good condition. 19th century. Height: 30 cm. Width: 36 cm.
