This is a handmade flat-weave tapestry crafted in the 1960s and 1970s in Vlasti, Greece, using the Swedish flatweave technique. It features vibrant colors including yellow, orange, black, and olive green on a cream-white background. Made from premium wool yarn, it can be used as a wall hanging or a tablecloth. A sewn textile tag on the back reads 'Handmade, Vlasti (Βλαστή in Cyrillic letters), Greece, ' and a separate seal with the letters 'IM' represents the Swedish humanitarian organization Individuell Människohjälp (Individual Human Help). In 1963, this organization established a weaving center in Vlasti, providing local women with employment and skill development opportunities. This initiative lasted 25 years and was the subject of the award-winning 2020 documentary 'The Weavers' by Dimitris Koutsiabasakos.
