Hayat Safari Roorkee Campaign chairs set of 2

This original hayat roorkee campaign safari chair set from the 1960s is in excellent condition. The black leather on both chairs has almost no visible signs of wear. The wooden frames, in a beautiful mahogany, are in very good condition. The tensioning cables are all in order, all fittings are tight and undamaged. Exceptionally good set. Individual sale possible. The safari roorkee chair was developed by hayat brothers in pakistan for british officials in 1933 and was used on safaris. Hayat developed a model that can be quickly dismantled, yet is stable and comfortable. High-quality materials such as rosewood, mahogany and the best leather were used.
