Vintage chicken, hen on a woven basket, made from brown glazed ceramic, egg holder or baking dish, marked at the bottom 'oven to table portmeirion, made in england', size no. 2, 1970s, the chicken was designed by susan williams-ellis beginning the 60's. Typical of portmeirion chickens are the chicks under the wings, these objects were available in different colors and 5 different sizes, from the largest no. 1 to the smallest no. 5. They were in production from 1963 to 1994, this brown version with no. 2 size dates from the 1970s. In perfect vintage condition, no flaws, check the photos for more details!
