Siegel Paris counter and sideboard, 1950s

Rare, 1950s oak and leather shop counter, stamped Siegel Paris, which can be used as a sideboard. It is a true testament to the craftsmanship of Siegel Paris, founded in the late 19th century, an iconic name in the design and manufacture of high-end commercial furniture, such as counters, display cases, and displays. This counter, formerly used in a haberdashery, is composed of: A charcoal gray leather top, and Two cupboards opening with sliding doors. Each cupboard has a shelf (non-adjustable and non-removable). This counter has been carefully cleaned and its oak frame has been polished with linseed oil. The leather on the top has been renovated and re-stained charcoal gray. In very good condition, it shows signs of use from its previous life, visible in the photos. A unique piece, steeped in history, that combines authenticity and functionality.
